Description
To create Motichur Laddu, a batter is prepared by combining besan with water, creating a smooth and flowing consistency. The batter is then poured through a perforated ladle or a special boondi-making utensil, resulting in tiny droplets that fall into hot ghee (clarified butter) and fry until they turn golden and crispy.
Once the boondi (tiny fried droplets) is ready, it is drained and mixed with a sugar syrup infused with cardamom or saffron. The syrup coats each boondi, giving them a sweet and aromatic flavor. The coated boondis are then shaped into round laddus by gently pressing and rolling them together.
Motichur Laddu is often garnished with nuts like cashews, almonds, or pistachios, adding an extra layer of crunch and visual appeal. The laddus are enjoyed for their delightful texture, where the outer layer of boondi is crispy, while the inside remains soft and slightly chewy.
This popular Indian sweet is loved for its rich taste, aromatic spices, and the joy it brings during celebrations. Motichur Laddu is a symbol of happiness, and its round shape represents unity and completeness, making it a cherished sweet treat in Indian culture.
